CVHS Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

To celebrate CVHS’ Anniversary we have added another week!

CVHS is set to open registration for our fifth year and we are very excited to announce that we will be offering 4 weeks of camp this coming summer! Camp dates and descriptions will be released in the coming weeks.

CVHS is also pleased to announce our continued partnership with Kootenay Goaltending!

Kootenay Goaltending is owned by Nathan Lieuwen who played professional hockey for 5 years from 2012-2017, including playing in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres. Prior to his professional career, Nathan played for 5 years with the Kootenay Ice of the WHL, winning the Ed Chynoweth Cup and Playoff MVP in 2010-2011.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Nathan. CVHS goalies and all students this summer have the opportunity to learn from a world class goalie and a high quality individual that brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his craft.”

Welcome to Columbia Valley Hockey School!

Columbia Valley Hockey School was founded in the summer of 2014 by Chris Bruton, Kevin Noble, and Brett Ponich. CVHS offers camps for motivated athletes ages 5-17 and all skill levels. Having been created by 3 current and past professional players, CVHS is designed to focus on what professional players wish they had focused on in their years of development. All three instructors bring multiple years of experience at the professional level and share a passion for passing on their craft to the upcoming generations.

Having instructed multiple camps over the course of the past decade, our instructors know what it takes to get the most out of young athletes. From skating mechanics, shooting, and stick handling, to off-ice training, mental training and current NHL guest instructors, Columbia Valley Hockey School will bring your game to next level.

Being based in the beautiful Invermere, B.C, we offer an opportunity for parents to relax and enjoy themselves with the local attractions while trusting our head instructors to maintain a focused and fun camp for their young athlete.

Our goal is to create an opportunity for the up and coming generation to use each off-season so that they are best prepared for not only the start of next season, but also making the transition to higher levels.
